Current Projects
Alhazred is a progressive metal project I have been working at for several years, indulging my desires to pursue a traditional doom metal sound (ala Black Sabbath) combined with Middle Eastern and symphonic textures. Lyrical influences come from dark fantasy writers like H.P. Lovecraft, William Hope Hodgson and William Beckford, among others. This project has had its ups and downs and I actually had a full performing ensemble in 2007. Unfortunately, it fell apart in the Fall of 2007 and has now become a studio project for me and Woody Irvin, who provides lyrics, vocals and bass parts to the project.
Alhazred released its first album, Death Waits Dreaming, available via the Alhazred website, on August 20, 2009. It is a 6 track EP recorded in my own studio (Chapel Perilous) and mastered by Ty Tabor of King's X fame. We are starting work on our next album, tentatively titled Apocryphal Nightmares from Dimashq al-Sham. It will have a much heavier Middle Eastern sound to it than the first album did.
Past Projects
Blue Hotel is a straight ahead 4-piece female-fronted hard rock band, for which I provide lead guitar. We formed in the Fall of 2008 and started performing live in the Summer of 2009. I left Blue Hotel in January on 2010 due to time constraints and school obligations.

Cassandra Syndrome formed in late 2005 from a previous band, Revel Moon (see below). It was quite a shift in gears from the bluesy, folky style of Revel Moon -- the music of Cassandra Syndrome was a bit heavier and darker. I played with CS for a year before leaving to focus my energies on Alhazred. Cassandra Syndrome has since released an EP (which was recorded in my studio, although I did not perform on the CD) and a full-length album.

Former rhythm guitarist BJ Robey, who left this band in January 2008, is also on these tracks.

I joined Revel Moon in 2005 as their new lead guitarist, just in time for their Spring/Summer festival season. We played bluesy folky music. I had a lot of fun with them, but alas, we disbanded in late 2005 and a few of us reformed into a new band called Cassandra Syndrome (see above). We also recorded a CD that was released in December of 2006 (nearly a year after we disbanded). Please check out the Revel Moon Website if you want to order a CD.
